The Final Convergence: A Cliff Notes-Like Synthesis of the 21st-Century Signs of Biblical Prophecy

We may be witnessing the pages of scripture come to life in our day and age, with many things happening right now that are very peculiarly biblical. With modern geopolitical movements and advanced technology, it is becoming increasingly clear that we may be entering a season of “birth pains” (Matthew 24:8). The “birth pains” are a time described by Christ as a period of intense transition that signals the approaching culmination of the biblical narrative and the eventual restoration of the world. Although we do not know for sure whether the “end times” have begun, it appears that things are ramping up in an unusual way that matches, to a degree, some of the biblical descriptions in Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation.

The 3rd Temple and Its Foretold Desecration

Based on the content in the bible, we do know that the 3rd Temple must be available at the end time, for the antichrist to desecrate. This idea is found in both 2nd Thessalonians 2:4 and Matthew 24:15. If the Bible is speaking about a physical building, there is none yet. However, the nation of Israel is now very seriously claiming that the 3rd Temple will soon emerge. They have even posted flags lining whole boulevards proclaiming that the temple will be quickly manifested. Nevertheless, the building may be coming soon as organizers in Israel have the preliminary blueprints and the necessary materials ready for its development. They have also prepared for the temple by burning a red heifer with no blemishes, and they have all the Pharisees, Sadducees, and temple priests necessary to perform temple duties, just like in the days of Jesus 2,000 years ago (The Temple Institute, n.d.). So, we find ourselves living closer to the end times, but at least regarding the physical temple, it is not yet present. So, unusual criteria are emerging for this topic.

If we desecrate our temple by mixing holy and unholy inside of ourselves, this passage could have already taken place a long time ago (Storms, S., April 22, 2024).  The process of desecration is really quite simple. It is any sex outside of marriage, using drugs, or other various means of harming our bodies. Or, in the presumably not-so-distant future, taking the Mark of the Beast into your body’s temple (which is also by the way an unforgivable sin because it cannot be undone, and it leads to an eternal punishment in hell). Any of these choices is seen as a movement towards merging the self with the antichrist system and contributes to the fulfillment of this criterion.

Other End Times Criteria

Beyond the temple, we also see many of the other criteria found in the Bible manifesting before our eyes. We specifically see the criteria Jesus cited in Matthew 24. In Matthew 24, Jesus tells us there will be deception, widespread conflict involving wars, panic in the form of rumors of wars, and nations rising against other countries. There will be natural disasters involving famines, earthquakes, and pestilences. In addition to these criteria, there will be intense persecution and betrayal among believers, the rise of false prophets, and the increase of lawlessness. From this time, there will also be the global preaching of the Gospel, and as discussed above, the antichrist will desecrate the 3rd Temple. Anyhow, all of these events will culminate with signs in the Heavens above. Somewhere around this time, too, the River Euphrates will dry up. Seeing that it is already beginning to do that, it can be alarmingly concluded that these times may be sooner than later (Center for Strategic and International Studies, 2023). The particular Bible verse that speaks of this river drying up is found in Revelation 16:12. Again, with reports of the river already drying up, it seems like these times could happen now.

Other themes found in the end times, in Revelation chapter 13, include an inanimate object given life and the requirement of worldwide submission to an antichrist system. The verse in Revelation describing an inanimate object becoming alive sounds a lot like Artificial Intelligence – which is also very similar to Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. It also echoes the longstanding satanic desire to manufacture life. A perpetual theme that began just after the Garden of Eden, when the fallen angels joined with mankind for the first time to create life (Genesis 6:1–4). They ultimately disappeared, but they will return because Jesus says that in the end times it will be like the days of Noah, so that these part-demonic, part-human creatures will return (Matthew 24:37-39; Luke 17:26-27). So, we already know that they will return once again in a hybrid human and fallen angel body, as Nephelium. And since the devil is all about deception, we will have no idea if the fallen ones are once again in a flesh or not. I assume that they will keep their presence a secret since the devil loves to lie to us.

We also understand that this demonically infused world leadership system will rule the world just after it gives life to an object. This is found in Revelation 13:15, “And he (the antichrist) had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” It also sounds like a plausible AI, or some AI-infused creature, that needs to be near the antichrist for him to call down fire from the sky and display his great wonders. This is stated before the above-cited verse. The verse is 14, which states, “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”  This seems a lot like Bluetooth technology. The very fact that the antichrist has to be near the image of the beast for the wonders to occur seems like a Bluetooth-activated device.  I further surmise that the Bluetooth-like connection discussed in this verse pertains to Starlink or another high-altitude, weather-balloon-like service that uses holographic technology.

The Mark of the Beast

One of the most discussed components of the end times is the Mark of the Beast. This is found in Revelation 13. In this section of the Bible, we learn about the physical mark placed on the head or the hand to buy and sell in the end times. The mark is part of a financial system described in the chapter required by both “rich” and “poor” specifically. This Bible clearly does not describe a middle class. Instead, there is a system that appears to be closely involved with worldwide communism. Because of the dogmatic requirement to follow the exclusive leadership of the antichrist and his system, it provides a worldwide financial format involving only “rich” and “poor.” This is expressed in verses 16 and 17, which states, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” So, it is like people have to get this mark and then they need dual verification of the mark which is “the name of the beast, or the number of his name” as a secondary verification factor. This is similar to present technology in the world under the name of “authenticator” apps. The emphasis on going cashless and using dual forms of biometric verification is particularly end-times-like. We should be concerned about the movement towards cashless and personalized financial systems because we know there will be severe persecution against those who choose not to take the mark. Many will be killed for refusing it.

It is not described specifically in the Bible what the Mark of the Beast really will look like. We are only told the number of the beast which is 666. However, one resource, the Prophecy Club, which shares prophetic visions, has said the mark will look like the sun – or at least the example that goes on the hand (Johnson, 2020, May 8). This visual was given by a participant in one of their programs, Ken Peters, and shared by the founder of the Prophecy Club – Stan Johnson. I have provided an example of the image found directly above this text. It is interesting to consider what this mark will look like, and it has provided endless thought and analysis. Curiously enough, Bill Gates has recently been discussing publicly a project he has been working on over the past few years. He has moved towards producing a digital sticker with the intention of replacing the smartphone with a wearable device attached to the skin (Amiri, n.d.). As enticing as this may sound, I recommend that everyone everywhere avoid this device. It may interfere with your salvation. He and the Gates Foundation have been working with MIT for over 5 years now, developing this technology – so it is not entirely new (Trafton, 2019, December 18). Again, everyone should avoid this digital stamp at all costs! This technology, although looking appealing, may lead directly to the Mark of the Beast, and I would not get very comfortable with this sort of apparatus, no matter how convenient it may be.

A Particular Military Alliance

A final note about the end times includes a particular military alliance described in the book of Daniel as described by Hagee (2018). This military grouping consists of the following nations that are believed to include: Magog, Meshech, and Tubal: Historically and geographically, this has been associated with the regions of modern-day Russia and surrounding Central Asian territories. Persia: This is modern-day Iran. Cush and Put: Often identified as Ethiopia/Sudan, and Libya. Gomer and Beth Togarmah: Generally linked to Turkey and parts of Eastern Europe.

These nations converge on Israel, and this is when Christ will return to protect Israel, defeat these nations, and restore order and balance to the world. He will immediately begin a 1,000-year reign as the King. This will be preceded by His eternal reign.

This is an extremely short Cliff Notes version of some of the alarming features of the end times. There are more topics to include, and the lists of information could go into lengthy books. Of course, this writing does not cover every item in the end times, but it offers a sample of topics to consider as we approach this season of world history.

Conclusion: The Convergence of Prophecy

The summary of these end-time indicators suggests that we are witnessing a historical convergence—a moment when biblical prophecy, modern geopolitics, and technology are aligning in a way never before possible. While the “day or the hour” remains unknown, the “season” is increasingly recognizable.

The Lord specifically told us in Matthew 24:36 to stay alert and observant because the “day and the hour” are unknown. And from His statement, I have always thought that since He gave us the seasonal conditions, we can know the season of His return. Moreover, He encouraged us to “stay awake,” in Matthew 24:42, further indicating a watchfulness for His return. In this expectation, I encourage you to remain observant and ready for His return, with fresh oil for your lamp!

Ultimately, this summary points to a period of unprecedented “birth pains” that are intense, global, and unavoidable (Matthew 24:8). However, the biblical narrative does not end in destruction – it ends in victory! Nevertheless, we must be ready, because the end-time events may be closer than we ever thought.
