The video demonstrates how to use Adobe Illustrator, one of the most potent logo development tools. It is one of my favorite tools because of its clean, sleek look and its ability to generate powerful, scalable, and lossless imagery.
This video compilation uses screen capture technology to describe to students how to use Adobe Bridge to build an image gallery.
Adobe Photoshop is a powerful tool for digital drawing, painting, sign development, simple animation, and 3D modeling. This program, like other Adobe programs, offers many features to explore, and you can spend a lifetime better understanding how it works. In this video, I demonstrate how to enhance a graphite drawing in Adobe Photoshop to maximize its potential digitally.
This animation features the incredible work of a former student. As a mentor to the student, I worked as his producer during the development of this particular animation.

Thad’s thoughts on creative thinking:

I firmly believe creativity is a versatile tool, not just a paintbrush. This definition encapsulates the belief that being ‘creative’ requires adaptability, often innovating constantly and seeing one’s artistic process as being in flux. In the visual arts and as an art enthusiast, I appreciate all forms of creative expression. I find particular inspiration in artworks that challenge the traditional constructions of the art world, such as those by Banksy or Basquiat.

“For I know the Plans I have for you” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

As an artist, I know how easy it can be to feel displaced by logic-minded peers who appear to play a more profound role in society. Not to mention the many ups and downs in your career due to your unique gifting—something I know all about. But, in many ways, the ups and downs in your career, as well as in mine, should only drive you and me closer to Jesus.

The Bible details that the skill artists have is essential and a direct God-given gift.

So, drawing from the endless fountain of the Lord, I think of His early provision for artists. Did you know He commissioned artists in the Bible? That is right! In the Old Testament, God provided direction and employment to artists in “The Divine Commission of the Artists.” These are verses found in Exodus Chapters 31-35. (I recommend reading these verses for yourself.) These verses showcase the vital role artists play in God’s Kingdom plan.

In Exodus 31:2–5, God said, “See, I have called by name Bezalel… and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works… and to work in all manner of workmanship.” To God, the artist is valuable. The artist to God does important work. To God, we all matter! Isn’t it nice to know we can always work for God?

My prayer for you is that you learn to appreciate the unique gifts the Lord has given you. It may take many years to see what you are good at. But by God’s grace, you will be able to see more clearly what you are uniquely made for!
