I believe faith in God is the most important thing in life. He is more important than family and even this country. (Although America is a great place to live!) In the Bible, God says He is the beginning and the end (Revelation 22), and by extension, He is also everything in the middle, and without Him there is nothing. So that puts God at the center of every human interest we could ever be curious about. In Genesis 1:1, God said He created our earth. He is such a big God, who by Him and through Him all things have been made – that is describing one big, fantastic God!
After my preface, to define what I believe about God, it all starts with this basic idea: God is one God in three persons (John 14:26; Matthew 28:19). As such, He has three distinct personalities, yet He is referred to as one. He can be consulted at any time, from any place, directly, since He is omnipresent. When we need special counsel, we can communicate our requests to each separate personhood of God, but they are also unified. They act as one person simultaneously, as they are completely united at all times. Each personhood of God is unique, co-eternal, a co-creator, and a co-equal Holy Being that has existed throughout all time. These three personhoods of God have no beginning or end. Moreover, they will never be destroyed, nor will they ever be usurped from their role or authority. The majesty and splendor of God are beyond any king to ever rule in any realm forevermore, amen (1 Chronicles 29:11).
I know that God the Father is a “Good, Good Father,” a title I clearly borrowed from the wonderful musician Chris Tomlin. I know that God’s loving kindness is beyond my understanding. By saying that, I know that I should trust in Him always and know that He is perfect. Unlike earthly fathers, who, although they do try, are not perfect. And I am not putting down dads here. But even the best of dads on earth cannot compare to YHWY, our True Father. Our Father lives in Heaven and is seated on a throne in the Highest realm of Heaven.
I love the phrase ‘O what a friend we have in Jesus!’ It reminds me that God the Father has a Perfect Son named Jesus (see John 3:16; John 1:18; and Matthew 3:17). Jesus is also God. He walked the earth and rose again about 2,000 years ago. He was crucified, buried, and rose again three days later. He will return at the end of the age to claim the throne of the earth and usher in a period called the Millennial Kingdom. Through His Righteousness alone, when we call upon His Name, we are saved from the fires of Hell.
As stated above, I believe that God is comprised of three beings. One of these three beings is the Holy Spirit, who resides with us! He is our Advocate and Helper, that is His title and role. As the embodiment of the Spirit of God, He remains with us on earth. He has always existed as God and was given as a gift to mankind when Jesus left the earth for Heaven. Some various appearances of the Holy Spirit include a dove (Matthew 3:16; Mark 1:10), a tongue of fire (Acts 2:3), and wind (Acts 2:2).
These are the core beliefs of my faith. I believe there is great personal value in clearly defining what you are putting your hope into. I think that by seeing the words on the screen you are forced to visualize what you hold as true. And, it is incredibly rewarding to write out your beliefs because it helps you identify where your faith is strong and where you have room to grow.
Now, I fully understand that some people will completely disagree with my perspective and my faith. And that is okay with me because I appreciate our personal freedoms here in the United States and in the Western world. I respect the personal liberty we so freely enjoy here, as each person is largely able to define and pursue their own concept of happiness. However, I cannot help but boldly proclaim my faith in Jesus Christ, because He alone offers salvation and eternal life. In His Word, in John 14:6, Jesus clearly says that no one can come to the Father except through Him. By the Son of God’s own admission, eternity hinges exclusively on a single truth: believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confessing with your mouth that God raised Him from the dead (see Romans 10:9). Without Him, we face the very, very harsh reality after death of an eternity in hell.

The truth is, time on earth is very short. God says in the Bible that our lives are “but a vapor” (see James 4:14). My heartfelt conviction is that this message inspires you to consider your eternity, trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and do so today, because the days are short. You never know how long you will live – make sure you choose Jesus before your time is up!
