This writing explores a profound deliverance prayer given by Dr. Rob Reimer during the January 2026 SOUL CARE conference in Altoona, PA. In this writing, I will share some of the prayer language used by Dr. Reimer and offer my interpretation. I note, right from the beginning of this prayer, Dr. Reimer’s contains an unusual level of spiritual authority—a claim substantiated by my experience there at the conference and corroborated by a pastor friend of mine who said he had never seen someone with so much authority in the demonic realms – until he met Dr. Reimer. The Altoona event was no exception; the spiritual climate was unusual, and there were several visible manifestations in the room, with several attendees shouting out as they encountered the commands to be freed from demonic oppression. From my understanding, they were freed that day, and this is a powerful testimony for anyone suffering who seeks deliverance, as it may genuinely aid their personal and mental health.
As an important side note, Dr. Reamer did provide a disclaimer, before praying, where he discussed the legitimacy that some people do have genuine mental health issues. In his statement about this, he said some people are not demonically oppressed but instead have actual mental health issues. He said in these instances, medication and mental health awareness are highly credible. However, some have genuine demonic oppression. For those with demonic oppression, they can find help and healing from deliverance prayers, like the one Dr. Reamer provided at this conference.
To better understand Dr. Reimer’s prayer, and how we can all incorporate his authority against the demonic, I will first look at how he began the prayer. He started the prayer by framing the grandeur of God. This is what he said,
“You are seated in the right hand of the Father, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, every name that can be given. You are the King unchallenged in your throne. Evil does not wait on You out or make you nervous” (Reimer, 2026, January 29–31).
Dr. Reimer didn’t just speak; he incorporated the authority of Scripture. By bringing up passages written by the Apostle Paul, he established a legal framework for the encounter to frame his comments in his prayer he said, ‘By grace, we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. We are literally right there with You.’
With his authority established, Reimer began issuing ‘commands’ which were strict guidelines for the engagement of the entities present. Before the confrontation started, he issued a warning to the attendees: to anchor your focus on Christ and refuse to surrender your will to the enemy. These are some of the exact words he spoke at the conference,
“Lord, we just now fix our attention on You. We’re not going to let them take over. From this space, we just make a series of commands. No spirit here can do anything to hurt anybody, not going to harm anybody, not anybody that is in the room, not anybody that’s any place connected to us, not family, not friends, not loved ones, not going to harm anybody.
In Jesus name, you’re not going to gag anybody, not going to choke anybody, not going to throw anybody across the room, throw them on the floor. You’re not going to take over their voice box.
In Jesus name, you’re not going to do anything to create shame, harm, embarrassment to anyone in the room. In Jesus name, you are not going to cause anyone to collapse or do any violence, none of that stuff. In Jesus name, you are also not going to do anything to make anybody gag or feel sick or throw up. I don’t do throw up or nausea.
In Jesus name, I’m going to do anything in any way to run, flee, hide, confuse, deceive. In Jesus name, you’re going to report when you’re spoken to. If you’re not being spoken to, then don’t interfere. Don’t report. Don’t mess up. In Jesus name. When you speak, you can use their mind. So you’re more than welcome to give them thoughts to their mind. You can use their mind and give them pictures. That’s fine. You can give them pictures. You can even use emotion, but you can’t ramp everybody up into a rage or into a panic attack. None of that stuff. It’s got to be low level emotion only by the authority of Jesus Christ.
You can also, if you want to, use their body to communicate, but you can’t do anything that’s going to create pain in their body. That’s a significant thing. But slight manifestations of anxiety and things like that, that’s okay. In Jesus name. It’s got to be slight.
Also, you’re not going to do anything to break the hierarchical structures that are there in place now. Stay in your groups. Don’t break those. No hiding. In Jesus name” (Reimer, 2026, January 29–31).
These strategic ‘ground rules’ used by Dr. Reimer effectively corner the demonic presence in the space and removes their ability to cause any chaos or have any authority. Dr. Reimer is aware of his authority in Christ Jesus and how the demonic has to listen to him. This authority wasn’t casually developed for Dr. Reimer, it was forged with his disciplined pursuit of mapping out every single personal and family sin pattern. By identifying and breaking these legal strongholds he has been given even greater heavenly authority, in Christ Jesus. Dr. Reimer’s shift toward laying down ground rules, he said in an earlier session before he began praying, started in necessity; having witnessed manifestations and physical turmoil in the past. After learning that all the demons listen to him, because of his relationship with Christ, he now preemptively implements these commands to ensure a safe environment for deliverance activities like these.
After the order was defined and the demons’ behavior within each person was described until they were cast out, Dr. Reimer could question each of the spirits in the room. He did this by calling forth the spirits, using the following statements:
“Now the spirit that Jesus wants to talk to, come to attention. Right in the center of each individual’s soul. Just stand right next to Jesus. He’s there in each one of these folks. Now you, spirit that Jesus singles out, come stand next to him. There’s all light. No darkness can’t hide.
Now that spirit that stands there, answer these questions. John tells us to test the spirit, so answer these questions:
- Spirit, did Jesus Christ come in the flesh?
- Spirit whom Jesus calls to attention, is Jesus Christ your Lord?
- Spirit, do you honor the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ?
- Spirit in attention, do you love this person?
- Spirit, what is your purpose in this person?
- Now, if you have the Holy Spirit, you’re going to get things like love God, glorify God. You get things like, you know, destruction. Obviously, it’s not the Holy Spirit.
- Spirit in attention, is it your desire that this person walks in freedom and fullness in Christ?
- Spirit, is it your desire that this person bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit? Spirit these fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
- Spirit, is it your desire that they bring glory to Jesus Christ?
- And, last question. Spirit, do you have any resistance to God the Father?” (Reimer, 2026, January 29–31).

Conclusion: A Summary of Dr. Rob Reimer’s Deliverance Ministry Prayer at the 2026 Soul Care Conference
A critical component of Dr. Reimer’s approach is the starting place of each deliverance. He carries a sensitivity towards each person and their individual needs. He does this by being aware that not everyone has a genuine “demonic oppression.” Dr. Reimer holds firmly that sometimes a person suffers from a case of clinical mental illness. While affirming the necessity of medical intervention for biological conditions, Dr. Reimer addresses the “legal” rights of demonic entities and operates strongly on these grounds. His methodology involves clearly establishing a biblical foundation for the demonic to act within. Dr. Reimer remains in charge during the entire engagement. He is very clear about how they will operate, and he uses scripture to assert his position and authority as “seated with Christ in the heavenly realms.”
Then, Dr. Reimer commands the demonic with strict rules of engagement, removing the enemy’s use of chaos or personal harm. Dr. Reimer preemptively forbids violent manifestations—such as gagging, shouting, or physical damage and he controls how the demonic will act in the environment. The script is not flipped on him. This disciplined shift, he said, was developed from years of ministry experience and a personal commitment to “mapping” his own sin patterns and those of his family.
Once the atmosphere is stabilized, Dr. Reimer uses a test based on scripture. In this test, he commands the spirits to answer specific questions regarding the Lordship and Divinity of Jesus Christ. By forcing these entities to reveal their nature and purpose, Dr. Reimer moves each person along a path towards freedom. Ultimately, Dr. Reimer’s work demonstrates that deliverance is about forgiveness and breaking the legal aspects of the demonic with the application of Christ’s authority and blood which restores mental and physical wholeness.
