Principalities and Psychological Operations: A Deep Dive into the Hidden Battle for the Soul

The Bible says we do not fight against people but against principalities.  This verse is found in Ephesians 6: 12-13.  It’s a great verse to meditate on, and it ties perfectly into today’s discussion about the podcast The Confessionals.  The episode I am talking about is titled, “Satan Personally Recruited Him into The Finders Club (And He Wasn’t The Only One) Nathan Reynolds.  This is a powerful podcast, and I hope you take the time to listen to it.  A link to the episode can be found here: (896) Satan Personally Recruited Him into The Finders Club (And He Wasn’t The Only One) ‪@NathanReynolds – YouTube

The podcast episode really transfers a deeper understanding of what we as people are up against – that is, operating against the devil and his minions.  We fight against the devil (Satan), and many of us do not even know it or realize it.  Or people may consider you crazy if you were to explain in detail who the devil really is.  They prefer to think of him as a humours little cartoon-like being with tiny devil horns.  But it is a well-crafted image that the devil prefers because he knows that someday soon, if we never accept Jesus as our Savior, we will spend eternity with him in hell – just the way he wants it to be.  But the truth remains: the devil, who has many names, including the great dragon, is many things, but he is best known as an essentially legal accuser.  And I am not giving him credibility as a lawyer here, nor am I speaking ill of lawyers or the legal system, but I am simply stating that he is a force to be reckoned with and that he uses a supernatural legal system to assume a controlling stake in our lives.  He is also not to be venerated, of course, but only to be understood and acknowledged that we should never fight against him on our own.  I have digressed quite a bit here, but in this episode, as alluded to in the title above, the guest speaker was Nathan Reynolds.  He is a person who has said he was at one time personally recruited by Satan. So, Nathan knows quite a bit about how the devil works and how he does his bidding against us.  Nathan was at one time a direct employee of Satan (the devil) prior to his encounter with Christ. In his former life, he had a great deal of insight into the forces of darkness.  Nathan knows that Satan is basically the top figure in the evil empire, but below him are many other well-known beings.  These beings have been here all along since the time of the fall (when the devil and his minions were forced from heaven unto earth).

On the topic of the devil and his forces Nathan said the following,

“It’s very complex. It is. It is. Well, we’re fighting lawyers. Yes. Like we’re fighting immortal lawyers. Like the worst nightmare to have to go up against. You know what I mean? Like if you could think of the worst kinds of adversaries, it’d be easy if they were just pitchforks and horns dudes. It’d be a lot easier. It’s a lot more nightmarish when the dragon is a legal accuser.  That is a far different entity and the venom that comes from his fangs is very potent – it’s hemorrhagic. It’s a neurotoxin. It is absolutely a disruptor of muscle tissue. It’s a paralyzer of life. It is incredibly potent and it’s delicious. It is insidiously tasteful when it’s going in, but it bites like a viper’s fang when it comes out. You know, that’s literally part of the consequences of them worshiping the queen of heaven, offering their children in fires to Moloch (a Canaanite deity), to Nimrod (the builder of the tower of Babel). This is what they were doing. Even in the wilderness, they were carrying the star of Remphan. They were they were sacrificing their children in the wilderness while eating mana. They’d eat mana, then they’d eat their children. Understand? That’s the level of depravity of brokenness that he called His people out of.  There is a reason their bodies waisted in the wilderness.  It’s a lot more than they doubted. It’s a lot more than that.  They carried with them their mighty ones – their gods.  They set up and erected their towers for a reason.  These entities are so much powerful than people can comprehend.”

“The greatest deception the enemy has done, thus far, in the last 150 years is to convince people that the Bible is not supernational.” A quote by Nathan Reynolds.

In the session, on the topic of things being hidden from our view, Reynolds said there are a bunch of things going on around us that we assume are normal.  But they are not.  Take, for instance, our Bibles.  And not just the removal of the Book of Enoch, but the way that the Bible has been edited to hide the truth from us.  To reduce the Bible, taking some of its authority away.  This was done on purpose because the Bible is a weapon, and they have dulled it so we cannot use it as effectively as we ought.

On the modification to the Bible, Reynolds said,

“The greatest deception the enemy has done, thus far, in the last 150 years is to convince people that the Bible is not supernational.  They have r***d our scriptures of all the supernatural elements in there. Like in Isaiah 13 when you pick up a scripture today (a Bible) and it says ostriches are going to dwell there and hairy shaggy goats are going to dwell there. They took away the word ‘seder.’ They don’t want people to know about Pan and the Baphomet and Aazil. They don’t want his identity known. They don’t want people to think that there’s an actual hierarchical structure to these entities. They have names and characters and temples and priests. They take away the siren and they give us the ostrich instead of the siren. They take away the mermaid looking creature with serpentine legs coming out of her rear land. That’s a kidna. That’s her. They don’t want people to understand that’s what dwells in these places. That’s what’s in these waters of these lakes. I could throw my blades in water and she would bring them back to me. That’s what she offers. She offers mystically charged magical weapons to warriors. That’s the whole Merlin myth. You know, it’s not a myth. These are like histories just repackaged to make them palatable in cultures that it’s illegal to talk about it. These people operate under this legal groundwork. And when they need to get their stories out and they want to preserve their legends and their truths, they couch them in mysteries. That’s the ‘mystery religion.’

That’s not how the father operates. Yeshua (The Lord Jesus Christ) literally said, “I’ve done everything open in in in the open. You do what you do in secret.” That’s a different kingdom. And I was a guardian of the secrets for these families. So I witnessed their oaths, their vows, their ceremonies. I was there brought in to watch them marry children to monsters to people that looked like men and creatures that were not mankind. I had to bear witness to these atrocities.”

The podcast touched on so many interesting topics that my review does not really do it any justice.  It really is better to just listen to it for yourself. The topics Nathan conveys detail how the system works outside the primary narrative.  There is a narrative provided to us, served on a silver platter, that society is to understand how this system works.  The devil likes it when we don’t believe in him or his works, because it gives him power to operate.  The expansive blackout is a PSYOP, or psychological operation of sorts, because people go on living their lives unassuming that there is a spiritual battle for their souls taking place on a daily basis.  He prefers us to think that there may be demons, but they are playful and fun.  That ghosts are people and not demons that are trapped in the places where they once lived, and that there is no nefarious underbelly vying to replace our system one day soon.  It is better for the masses to assume that there will never be a total demonic centralized takeover of the control of our world, and there is no antichrist, for that matter.

This deep dive into the enemy and his schemes serves as a reminder that we have fundamentally misunderstood the conflict around us. We have journeyed through a profound and at times unsettling exploration of spiritual warfare, moving far beyond simplistic caricatures of the adversary. The core truth remains centered in Ephesians 6:12-13: our struggle is fundamentally not against people, but against deeply entrenched principalities and powers. This conflict is manifesting now, cloaked beneath the surface of our modern, unassuming lives. The most crucial deception of our age is the devil’s successful campaign to be viewed as a humorous, harmless cartoon figure. This trivialization has all of the characteristics of a masterful psychological operation, allowing the genuine threat to operate unseen and unaddressed.

Nathan Reynolds’s testimony provides an insider’s look at the highly structured nature of the devil’s empire. His experience confirms that the forces we face are neither chaotic nor disorganized; they are systematic and deliberate. Reynolds’ unique description casts these adversaries as “lawyers.” This legal framework suggests a supernatural system of accusation and control that many fail to recognize as operating around in the air. The devil actively prowls, like a lion, a beast seeking whom he may devour (1st Peter 5:8).  The devil seeks a controlling stake in our lives through a highly specialized form of spiritual legal groundwork. The more we understand how his empire operates, the more we can pray against it and help free our many unassuming friends from the wrath of hell.  I again highly recommend this podcast and encourage you to give Nathan a listen to better understand the nature of the enemy and how entrenched the battle for each human soul really is.
